The splendor of the Roaring Fork Valley offers a bounty of exceptional, outdoor wedding venues; the Roaring Fork Club is no exception with its well-equipped lodge, picturesque poolside meadow, and enchanting River Cabin. Having a beautiful outdoor setting for a wedding is wonderful, as long as the weather cooperates...
A rain-soaked morning was promising to develop into a even more saturated afternoon. Careful optimism was lingering in the air as we began setting up the outdoor ceremony on the poolside wedding meadow. The chairs were in place, the flowers were set, the staff was milling about, and the bride was dressed and stunning. The sun broke through the ominous clouds, clearing a ring of blue sky directly above the ceremony site. And, go! The I do's were done, the kiss sealed the deal, and the pictures were wrapping up. Cue downpour. Everyone quickly made their way to the tented space by the River Cabin, relatively dry.
Vintage hues of lavenders, blushing nudes, apricots, peaches, creams and greens were punctuated with deep plum tones, creating a wonderfully romantic, yet understated look. The riverside setting naturally lends itself to a more rustic aesthetic, however, by implementing elegant elements, and a touch of bling, an interesting juxtaposition of rustic and refined was created.
'Til Death Do They Part.
It rained for the rest of the evening, and all through the night; That only made the setting more magical and unforgettable (especially because it was tented and heated!)
